Our Mission

Our mission is to preserve the natural character of Tyrone Township through civic engagement conservation, outreach, and advocacy.

What We Do

 

Civic Engagement

In staying current on local development, and informed on policy, we work to build engagement between residents and Township decision makers.

Conservation

Our community strives to “live in harmony with nature.”

Outreach

By educating ourselves through extensive research & professional development, we are equipped to share our learning with others. Outreach efforts include hosting community events, offering online communication, providing print materials, and giving group presentations.

 

Advocacy

Our role is to listen to collective community voices in order to promote & support the Vision Statement of our Master Plan.

How We Accomplish Our Mission

  • We provide community outreach, education, and promote resident engagement.

  • We maintain a working relationship with Township Officials.

  • We stay current and engage with the public about civic matters as they develop.

  • We attend Township Board and Planning Commission meetings to stay informed.

  • We advocate for appropriate Zoning and Planning Development in accordance with the above stated mission.

  • We promote and support our Community Vision Statement.

  • We serve as a liaison between residents, and Township Officials.

  • We take courses, attend workshops, and participate in meetings to stay informed.

  • We share what we learn.
